Default For sale Divebomb VH 1 neck and body

I purchased an ash Franky body and maple neck. Right now I do not have the time to finish the project so I am selling it.

The neck and body run $440.00 from Divebomb Inc. I sent my own lumber that cost me $90.00 plus a rosewood dowel that ran 12.00.

I had the neck finished in high gloss thin nitro and had the frets cleaned and pollished at the Guitar Mill. I was not planning on stripping the guitar just building the real deal like Ed used on the first album with a white body and black p-guard. It was my plan to include two single coild pickups and a 5 way switch in order to get the Women in Love and Cathedral sounds.

Since Ed used a standard 58 strat bridge, I picked up a callaham that is for sale also. I have a EVH78 clone pickup for sale as well.
I am looking to get $500. for the neck and body. If you are interested please email me at chris@mahoneyguitargear.com

Kyle built me a very nice EBMM-style neck for a project. I have yet to actually play the thing (the project is still in the works), but it was worth the money I paid him for it.

Well lets see Ron 185.00 for a Charvel style ash body and 230.00 for a nice neck. Thats not bad in my oppinion.

I gave him a shot and he did a good job. I am motivated to sell, I am open to offers.

Both pieces look great, seems like a fair price. That neck in finished condition could sell by itself for around $300.

Not in the market, working on one myself, but good luck with sale!! Nice parts.

Truthfully...it did come across like a dick...but that's cool. How much would you charge for a body and neck?

I dont make and sell necks and bodys. I constuct the complete guitar. That's why I was so shocked.
I forget that I've had a loyal body and neck guy for a while and he really gives me a good break price wize.

That's pretty bold statement coming from someone who's sole purpose on this site is to pimp guitar parts.
    This isn't CraigsList.

Ron has earned the respect of many members here on this site, including myself.
Instead of calling him names, I'm thinking maybe you should send him these parts so he can finish the project that you obvously had difficulty completing yourself.

Seriously, I don't think Ron meant any harm ...
He probably has the resources for better deals.
And I have to agree ... $500 is quite a bit for that body and neck considering the fact that I'm selling this one completely built with all the hardware and electronics for only $200 more.

Oh, I almost forgot ... welcome to the forum.

My post was nothing more then tryin to help a Brutha out. Dino and I have been doin this stuff for a while and we know the ins and outs.
I just hate to see guys that want a guitar they can call their own spend more money then they have too.
I forget that the average person that wants a guitar doesn't have the resources at their disposal like Dino and I.
I cant tell you how many times I've been shocked at the prices guys pay for the guitars that end up in my shop to get "fixed" when they recieve em anyway.
So if Im a dickhead for bein shocked about the price you paid for a body and neck, so be it. Just tryin to assist.

Anouthor point Id like to bring up to keep up with my dickhead statis.
Why would someone spend that kinda money on a neck and have to send it somewhere else to have it worked on?
If I spend that much cabbage on a neck, I better be able to just install the hardwear and bolt it on. The only "work" to done is a small trussrod twist.
Thats why I dont buy "garage" neck guys stuff.
They buy all this equipment so they can make necks. Do you realize how many necks have to be sold for the equipment to pay for itself? Then you have to pay someone to do fretwork?
    Mayby Im missin somethin.
