I also liked the Root Beer one. That's the only Custom Shop model that seller has up; the other three are first year quilts.

Wolfs have gone down in price a lot. There's always been an up and down on them. But the people still trying to get $2,200 for a production model are crazy.

I have a USA amber flame top Special to sell, but I'm waiting for the Wolf market to get a little better.

That root beer one needs (1) an ivory toggle switch knob, (2) ivory volume / tone knobs and (3) a chrome stop tailpiece.

Not a big fan of the black on that guitar.

I wouldn't buy one of those at those prices even if Eddie played it. They look nice but ..... crazy expensive.

He also has two others that look like modified Wolgang Specials which he states were made for Peavey artists. That rootbeer quilt is nice but not for that money.

That was the young chick, Chelsea something... She liked Wolfs, but preferred the flat tops with floating trems, a tone knob, and a coil tap. I believe she's with Fender now.

It's bad for production models right now on eBay. If you wait it out, you'll be able to get what you want.

The Special that's bid up to $2,300 is a Custom Shop model; there were only about 500 made. The Specials were only a "cheaper" version of the Wolfgang in that they removed some of the fancy attributes that made the Standard more expensive to make (carved top, cream binding, birdseye neck, Schaller tuners). They were still made by the same people in the same factory and used the same pickups and hardware (except for the tuners). It was definitely not a Gibson vs. Epiphone type situation. And it's why Eddie played the Specials as much as he did the Standards; the playability factor was the same.
