    Default VH1 Classic: 80 Hours of 80's

Has anybody else watched any of this? It's been kinda cool seeing some of these and actually having a channel playing nothing but videos all day, all night (even if it's only for a few days).

Even this VH1 Classic is starting to show them less and less -- and that's why they started the damn channel.

It reminds me how easy it used to be for me to get sucked into watching a few hours in a row of just music videos.

    I miss those days.....

    Miss those days.

MTV played me like a drum when they'd announce 3 bands they'd play at the top of each hour. I'd stay glued until I saw which of the VH or Scorpions videos they'd play.

I didn't sleep at ALL last night due to an infection in my knee from a rusted barbed-wire fence wound, so I watched "80 Hours Of 80's" all night and all morning. It was great.

Ah, the good ol' days of actual videos playing on video tv channels.

It's great to see those old vids again.

I really miss video channels showing actual videos as well. Some people would have never made it as big if it weren't for MTV.

So, what VH vids did they play? I was out shopping for a new car and missed the Vs. Or maybe I was sleeping. I dunno.

They went in alphabetical order by artist. They played more than one song in a row by the more popular artists (U2, VH, etc.).

What I liked about the parts I watched was that they threw in some bands that I didn't expect to see, however was pretty cool. Jane's Addition for one. They mixed up the VH videos as well. They played

    Hot for Teacher
    Pretty Woman
Dreams (Live version from the Whisky)
    Jump
    When it's Love

The videos did have variety.. I think they went from Metallica's "One" right into George Michael "Faith"
Don't drink the Jim Jones punch. They're called theToxic Twins for a reason...

I thought the same thing about the variety. it wasnt the typical "let's look back at the 80's by just showing madonna and michael jackson videos." I was shocked to see Husker Du, Wonder Stuff, X, XTC, etc. They did a good job. Had a great time viewing it here & there.
