Default Movies you like that were before your time

Perhaps it was a movie that came out when you were too young to see it, or even a movie that may have come out before you were born, that you like now.

A few come to mind for me...

    The Enemy Below
Operation Petticoat (the movie, not the horrid TV show)
    Mister Roberts
    11/05/78 Hollywood Sportatorium
    12/10/82 Hollywood Sportatorium
    01/20/84 Hollywood Sportatorium
    01/21/84 Hollywood Sportatorium
    02/16/08 Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena

First Terminator, Die Hard, Raiders and Blade Runner were all released before I was born. There are seriously too many others to mention, but I'll pick the absolutely random one I had no idea that even existed, and I only bought the DVD coz it was like, a dollar and a half and had Harrison Ford in it -

    Hanover Street

Mega-cheesy love story, however there's something totally amazing about this flick.

All the James Bond movies with Sean Connery. Well I was like 10 months old when "Diamonds Are Forever" came out, so I don't think I saw that one.

Caddyshack was 1981, if you're 33 you were alive and well.

Animal House was 1978, so again you were alive, I am sure you didn't see it then however.

That sounds so funny to be "before somebody's time."

The first movie that came to mind was The Great Escape with Steve McQueen and so many other greats. It was made in '63, I was born in '68, yet I've probably seen it 15-20 times. Such a great movie.

Tora, Tora, Tora for me. Midway came out 2 months after I was born. That's close enough.

Cool Hand Luke and The Graduate are ones before my time.

One I could not appreciate until I was older was The Deer Hunter. Use to drive by the church it was filmed at every week by my dad and never knew it was in a famous film.

Ditto that Zeo. 2 of my favorites and I was a young'n when those were released!!

With today's technology in movie production, I would LOVE to see these 2 classics redone! Midway in a movie theater was totally awesome!!!
