    Default 3 E's For Edward!!!

Paul Gilbert's tribute to his hero Eddie Van Halen

There's a story about the song and the complete liner notes Paul wrote about Eddie
    posted @ www.vhnd.com

Here's a little of what Paul wrote about Eddie, I couldn't agree more:

I have seen visions of freedom, virtuosity, and unspeakable joy that remain unmatched. I hope he can find his way to a place free of all pollution and once again show us the beauty of his music and soul.

Love Paul Gilbert. Eddie has been a huge influence on him, but it doesn't really show in all of his playing, which is the right way to absorb someone else's style, rather than just sounding like him. Kind of like how Eddie cites Clapton as his biggest influence, but he sounds nothing like Clapton. I'd love to take lessons from Gilbert, he always seems like a real down to earth guy.
