Default House Of Hair Diss of DLR

I was listening to house of hair on Saturday like I always do and Dee Snider, whom I am a big fan of, played "Damn Good Times" off of Skyscraper and after it was finished said something along the lines of DLR is "an ass, I mean class all by himself." Is there some fued between Twisted Sister and Dave? I am sure it was all tongue in cheek, but why diss on the greatest frontman of all time.? Anyone else hear this?

ya, honestly though....none of the 80s frontmen should really talk shit about DLR....they owe alot to him...

they all pretty much modeled themselves after Roth(and steven tyler)

I would imagine Dave isn't too concerned with what Dee Snider thinks of him. Nor should he be.

Dee guest hosted a show at a radio station I once worked at. One of the engineers at our station worked a long time putting together a promo and opening song for him. The engineer was psyched to see what Dee would think of it. When it was played for him, he gave a VERY unimpressed look and then later also said something lame on the air about it.

That day many of us thought he was an ass in a class by himself.

Who is Dee Snyder, and why should DLR care what she thinks?

    Lol...EXACTLY!

I'd love to know who died and made Dee Snider a respected critic anyways.

There was an article in Creem magazine eons ago referring to an edict by either Dave Roth or Van Halen that under no circumstances would the lead singer of any opening act for VH have blond hair. Snyder groused that he was willing to dye his hair brown for a chance at the opening slot, yet was turned down. Perhaps Dee's apparent enmity stems from that. Who knows, or cares? The fact is no matter what he said, he played a Roth tune before doing so. That speaks much louder than his commentary ever could.

Dee bags on a lot of bands on that show but, for the most part, it's in jest and often makes fun of himself. He plays a ton of old VH and plays it with reverence. If he really hated him he wouldn't play Dave at all. I like the fact the show exposes music like that to other generations. When was the last time you heard anything from Skyscraper on the radio?

What is this "radio" you speak of? I only listen to XM so I hear stuff off of Skyscraper all the time on The Boneyard. In fact, I even heard "She's My Machine" the other day from Your Filthy Little Mouth!

Alice Cooper has his sydicated show on a Southern Oregon station, and when he plays VH he's VERY positive on them----but then again I don't think I've really heard him slam anybody. Dee Snyder? Didn't know about a radio show, but his CMT "Gone Country" gig speaks volumes for itself....

Sounds like this Dee Snider's got a chip on his shoulder and he's not gonna take it anymore.

Maybe another cameo on PeeWee's next movie will get him out of this rut.

I remember seeing one of those "Best Frontmen if All Time" kind of shows, and Dee Snyder said that DLR was the best ever.
