Default Urgent! Question About Crossing Border At San Diego

I have guests who want to cross into Tijuana from San Diego to have a beer and then cross back into California.

Is this easy? Or might they run into problems?

They are British nationals and carry British passports.

This is a Sunday night question only and Mods can feel free to lock it up on Monday.

    Thanks in advance...

Sometimes foreign nationals have troubles at the border if they're not U.S. citizens. Extra scrutiny, double checking VISAs and passports and so on.

Though limeys, I expect, probably won't have too much difficulty.

Tell 'em to walk over from the parking lot. DO NOT drive into TJ. No point, if it's just an in n' out visit. Unless they enjoy five hour waits to go all of one hundred yards.

Much more interesting things to see and do in Tee Jay than warm Tecate, though.

I had no problems crossing over with a dutch passport and a tourist visa (about 8 years ago)

If I remember correctly, I parked somewhere close to the border and took some kind of bus or trolly

No problems. Just don't lose the passport. Nor let them get drunk and walk back as they will be prime targets for mugging. As long as it's daytime, all should be fine.
