Default If you could see any band, any year....who is it?

Other than VH, if you could have seen any band at any point in time who would it be? So many choices but try to narrow it down.

My top 3 in no order:

Lynryrd Skynyrd - Original lineup in 1975/1976.

    Rush - Signals tour.

Led Zeppelin - The Led Zep II tour.
    .
    .
    .
VH with Dave ('78-'84) - The best years....the "real" VH.
VH with Sam ('86-'96) - Incredible era....."We have renamed this town 'New Halen!'.
VH with Gary ('98) - Fucking disaster. WTF was that??
VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

I'm not gonna apologize for not following the rules cus your title was "ANY band, any year."

Van Halen 1984. I would pay so much fucking money to not be the 9 yr old I was, and actually go and take in that spectacle. From what I see on the Montreal boot, from what I read, from what I hear; they were the Kings of the world. I would love to have been at a Van Halen show in 1984.

"Yeah, "Panama" is a pretty sexy song; I always thought that song should’ve been sung by a girl; now ya got Sammy Hagar. Any questions?"

    Good topic.

Think it goes without saying that catching any gig on any tour of either Zeppelin or the Beatles is a given, so I'll leave them out.

    *Monterey Pop Festival 1967

*The Doors, any date at the Whiskey in 1966

*The Police, Regatta De Blanc tour 1980

The Temptations with David Ruffin, and again with Dennis Edwards when he joined.
The Allman Brothers when Duane Allman was still around.
The Band November 25 1976 Winterland Ballroom or any time before that.
Chicago before the death Terry Kath
The J. Geils Band when they recorded full house at Cobo hall or any other time before they released Freeze Frame
Waylon & Willie during the Outlaw years
And of course Lynyrd Skynyrd when Steve Gaines joined the band

I've seen VH shows since I was 11 yrs ( don't tell my mom) SOOOOO

my dream would to have been able to be in Pasadena in the late 70's (and be a teenager, maybe 16 or so) - following VH around to all the small gig's/ backyard stuff and ESPECIALLY to see them at the Whiskey. God, that would have just been IT for me.

I've seen so many concerts I can't remember them all. My best friend growing up, her mom worked for Beach Club promotions. We could literally see any show at the Carolina Colusiem or Atlanta or Charlotte NC any time we wanted. And DID!

It was a bitch as I got older and had to PAY to see concerts. I've gone to see acts from Barry Manilow, Ray Charles & the Rayettes, Buffet, all the hair bands, Garth Brooks when no one knew who he was, up to VH, Stones, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, ect....

Of course I can't hear worth a dang but it was worth it (I think)

******OH maybe the only show I'd loved to have seen would have been Janis Joplin - that would have been a very cool experience I think.
