After 23 years, this song still sounds amazing. Big Al's snare drum sound was one of his best. I only wish I was old enough to have heard this song on the radio the day it was released. Talk about a wake up call to disco. Let's hope that VH's new album has some of the raw sound from the early days.

By the way, I thought this song was appropriate for my number of posts.

RWTD is classic Van Halen. It's one of the best songs with DLR and it still can be heard on the radio today.

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of all the great times I have had in my life.

As soon as I hear it, the volume instantly goes way up.....

Big Bubba you are right on bro' !!

For me it was as dramatic as hearing it on the KSHE95 in STL when VHI first came out. I was not very old, but I was like, WHOOOOOOOOaaaaaaaa !!! I was hooked.......probably one of the first rock bands I ever heard was VHalen... and RWTD was like the first song I remember hearing from Van Halen.

To have heard The White Album in 1968. To have heard Hendrix in 1967. To have heard VH in 1978.

Well, I don't remember much from '67 or '68, but hearing Van Halen for the first time only about a year after its release (and before I heard II) was pretty awesome!
