Default Romantic Imagery of Guitarists in Music Videos

So I'm watching the November Rain video on YouTube...jeez I love that song, and it gets to the solo where Slash is out in front of that barn or church or whatever, in the middle of the dry plains etc just wailing...it reminded me of the video for Bon Jovi's Bed of Roses where Richie is on a freaking mountain-top, leather trench and SRV hat just playing to the heavens...

cool images no doubt but they're playing electric guitars and not an amp or cable in sight and that little detail has always tripped me up...I try not to let it and just enjoy the imagery but still...would it ruin the image if they had a marshall stack next to them in that field or on the mountain? The power cable could be laying there running just off screen where we can all pretend there is a generator!

Anyway...am I alone in this? What are some of the tried and true video images that we see all the time that make our eye brows perk up?

George Lynch on the active volcano comes to mind. So does Jeff Beck on a train in "People Get Ready".

While not iconic scenery, Eddie Van halen walking along that row of tables in the library of the Hot for Teacher video was/is freaking awesome.

John Fogarty's "Old Man is Down the Road" is pretty cool... The whole video is basically the camera following this super long cord that ends up being hooked up to his amplifier...

i LOVE that scene...how much funnier would it be though if his guitar cable kept banging against kids and teachers heads while their trying to read and them having to duck under it! heeheehee

It's a church and I forget how many millions of dollars it cost to move that thing from where it belonged!

Out of all the VH videos, that scene is my favorite by far!

The first image that comes to mind is Hendrix playing the "Star Spangled Banner" at Woodstock and the crowd looking like they're watching a mothership break through the clouds and auger into the earth. But perhaps my fav iconic image is Page with the double-neck during the intro of "The Song Remains the Same".
