    Default george lynch kamikaze

Ok, so I have been thinking about a new guitar, and the older version of the kamikaze caught my eye. I guess the ones in the 80's had a flush mount floyd and that is what I like. Has anyone had any experience with the higher end ESP's? I think I heard that the Lynch models have a neck profile similar to a wolfgangs.

I had one of the 80's ones a while ago. What strikes you is how BIG they are!

At the time I was used to a Nuno N4 or MusicMan Silhouette and moving to this it just felt huge!

Very striking looking - but I can't help but feel a bit dated now........I recall it played OK but nothing special....

I've just used Musicman over the last couple of years and I guess it felt similar to my Steve Morse model as that is a strat'ish shape with no cutaways like the ESP Kamikaze.....along a similar line - I had a Kramer Nightswan for a while - that was a much nicer guitar to play than any ESP and prob get it for cheaper as well....

Nightswans are pretty pricey now if you can find them.

Brett - That's weird....In the UK all the 80's shred guitars go pretty low - you can get some real bargains.....mind you this place is loads more expensive than US so it's all relative!

Nightswans rock though - Mine was great!

Yeah, you rarely see a Nightswan go for less than 800-900 these days.

I've got a Lynch Serpent, and it's one of the best guitars I've got. It's the black/white mirror graphic guitar. It's swamp ash and after changing the pickups, I love it.

I had a Kamikazee in the early 90's, but didn't like the maple body. Too bright for my taste. The samp ash is bright, but it's clear and even. All the notes are even vs. the maple of the Kamikazee.

It is a bigger guitar than the N4's, but at 6'4", it's better suited for me.
