    Reunited bands

Ok, we have had the long awaited Van Halen/Roth reunion of sorts, The Police (How F'in cool is that?!?!), but who else is out there that can reunite that you would like to see reunited?

Top of my list is Journey with Perry and Pink Floyd.

Who would you like to see get back together that are all still alive and can.

Second question, which is open to everyone's interpretation and shant be criticized, is of the bands that cannot completely reunite, who would you like to see take the place of the dearly departed bandmember?

Yeah, it's a pipe dream, but not impossible.

Throw Styx + Dennis DeYoung on my list

Don't know that I'd want to see DeYoung back with Styx, Lawrence Gowan makes a better DeYoung than DeYoung does.

I wouldn't mind seeing Waters back with Floyd though. Although Floyd delivered a decent show without him, there was definitely something missing without his presence, both lyrically and musically.

If Kiss is going to continue to tour, I'd rather see them with Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer, and put out something new.

Yeah, but Gowan sucks I'm a big Styx fan, which not many may know, and it just feels odd hearing Gowan belt out Come Sail Away. It just ain't the same.

DDY's still got it, as far as I can tell.

DDY was a dynamic part of Styx, but from having grown up watching him try to steer Styx in a weird direction (Kilroy was Here), there's always been a creepy feeling I have about the guy. I saw them a couple of times with DDY, one of which was an awesome show, the other, DDY's voice sucked donkey balls and you could clearly see there was major tension on stage. I believe his voice is fine when he does the songs in his own style for his solo show, but when he needs to kick it up to the level it should be for a Styx concert, it may not quite be up to the task.

Gowan is electric onstage, and his playing and singing are simply astounding. I was kind of not looking forward to the show last March with Gowan, but man, the dude, and Styx, stole the 3 headliner show.

I agree about DDY's attitude in the past, especially with KWH. What a disaster. He took that band in a weird direction, no doubt. As for his voice not being up to his usual standard, everyone's voice changes. It's up to the other musicians or yourself to make adjustments to that.

All you need to do is listen to DDY's latest solo album, released only in Canada (available for download in many places). This is what drove me to believe DeYoung is ready for a Styx reunion. Before I didn't want to see it, until I heard his latest album. Now, I think if it were to happen, he'd be up to the task.

Pretty good, old school rockin' shit, I'd say

I wouldn't mind seeing KISS put something out new, but I would like for Gene and Paul to find some fresh musicians to push them if that is possible. They have no need to put anything out new for the money obviously, but it would be nice if they would really put forth a good effort. I think Revenge was headed in the right direction. RIP Eric

Two totally different bands, almost (the three-piece and the five-piece, with Hackett and Gabriel). I like both equally, just like the whole Sam / Dave thing in VH. They're just very different.

If you're gonna look into it, "Selling England By the Pound" or "Foxtrot" are my suggestions to you. Both albums are pretty much perfect top to bottom.

I like both era's of Genesis. I think it would be sweet to see Gabriel and Hackett with them. I know they have talked about it a few times, but there seems to be very little motive for them to actually do it. They all seem well off financially and Collins doesn't seem to like touring so much anymore.

Bands that would I would like to see reunite and at least tour: Skid Row, Montrose, Blind Faith, Cream. White Lion, just to name a few that have not been mentioned.

Getting to the Kiss comment posted earlier: Take off the make-up. It is such a joke now. I loved it in 1996/97, liked it 1998 and said my goodbyes in 2000. I think I would still have an interest if at least Ace was there.
