Default Top Secret!: The totally off the wall movie thread

chef brought back a ton of memories with the mention of the movie Top Secret! in another thread. Man, I was totally baked the first time I saw that movie, which made it twice as funny.

OK, what other off the wall movies can we add to this list?

In terms of utterly inspired, sheer lunacy, then "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension" deserves "Hall Of Fame" status.

Forgot about Banzai! That was awesome!

As mentioned in the other thread, Real Genius is true genius. Kilmer doing some of his best work.

Not the best quality, but one of the best lines in the movie.

"Top Secret" has always been one of my favorite comedies.

Another good "off the wall" comedy is "Used Cars (1980)." Kurt Russell and Jack Warden star. It seems that not many people have seen this movie but it has a ton of laughs.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is one of my all time favorites as far as the "Funny as hell" categories go. Escanaba in da Moonlight. Jeff Daniels movie about some hunters in Minnesota. I almost lost a couple ribs laughing so hard.

An out and out classic. "The Boob Tube", which was in the same vein (yet not as good) rates as well.

For me, Joe Dirt, Dazed and Confused, Repo Man, Clerks, and Stripes and Caddyshack.....watch those and you have a quote for every social occasion

then there's Pink Flamingos, where a quote could get you banned from polite society
