Default What song was #1 on the day you were born

Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was number one on the day we were born.

    My number #1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
'Ben' by Michael Jackson in Australia

    Wow...two slices of Presley gold.

In the U.S. and Australia "Are You Lonesome Tonight".

In Great Britain "It's Now Or Never".

    Cool. Thanks for the link.

    Cool topic!

"It's Too Late" - Carole King. Ugh...

If I had been born a month earlier it would have been "Brown Sugar" by the Stones, always one of my favorite bands.

Really? "Tired of Waiting..." was used in a commercial several years ago, though I can't recall for what; and "This Diamond Ring" did all right - bet you'd know 'em if you heard 'em. Hell, I just "introduced" my mother-in-law to ELO!

Anyway - early November back in '63:

U.S.: "Sugar Shack" - Jimmy Gilmer & The Fireballs
U.K.: "You'll Never Walk Alone" - Gerry & The Pacemakers
Australia: "Royal Telephone" - Jimmy Little

    18: "Private Eyes" - Hall & Oates (U.S.)
