    VH website

I have been a member here for quite a while but never really posted. That being said, does anyone have a real reason as to why VH has an absolutely horrid website? I got to Led Zep's website, not even a functioning band, and they have a great website. I go to VH's website, they just got off a huge tour and are back with DLR but their website looks like something my twin three year old girls put together.

Well, actually, the VH website was put together by the twin boys that grace the cover of Balance.

I have no idea. I could only speculate that the band has a horrid publicist that doesn't recognize the value of a good website. Or, perhaps the publicist is a genius and recognizes that vhlinks.com gives the band all the publicity they need...and on someone else's dime.

VH's website SHOULD hold a plethora of information on the band's long history of shows, albums, members, tours, rare appearances, press, etc. Instead it's always just kind of been abbreviated. When Bradman initially set the site up in '97 or so he did an okay job with info on albums and tours. That content is since long gone.

VH has just never been good with fan interaction. I certainly wouldn't hold out hope for that to change NOW. It is indeed frustrating and just one more example of how they don't readily acknowledge their legacy.

True, but I remember a few years back there were song snippets, photos, member and band histories. Now it's no more than a paragraph on a web page. I don't get it, would it be any good to ask the webmaster over there or would that fall on deaf ears?

Maybe things will change over there someday, but until then I would consider THIS site as THE Van Halen site.

    Things should get better shortly.
My understanding is Eddie has "10 websites worth of material" ready to go.
He's just waiting for some legal procedures to be taken care of.
Some IT people told EVH he needs more broadband.
But Eddie, being the fan minded guy he is, told the IT folks that he wants men and woman to have equal access.
"Nobody's gonna tell me to ban broads from our site, I love and respect all our fans."
The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Ban broads. I like that. Edward is nothing if not equal opportunity.

As for the site, this place be it.

Their website is yet another missed opportunity to reach out towards the fans. If this is all they're ever going to give us, then they should seriously shut it down for good.
