    Default A Little 80's Movie/Music Trivia

Who is the artist performing the song from :16 to 3:08 in the following clip?

I was fairly shocked to find out who it is. It's definitely not somebody you would think would have a song in a movie which features tunes from the likes of Modern English, The Plimsouls, The Payolas and The Psychedelic Furs.

FWIW, I actually saw The Plimsouls play at The Whiskey way back in 1982. I vividly remember that somebody had written the following (more or less) on one of the walls in big black letters: "To Motley Crue: You're a bunch of pussy faggots and will never be another New York Dolls".

    Too funny.
"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you"

"Be careful what you wish for because you just might lose what you already have"

The voice sounds like Pat Traverse. I remember when he did a cameo vocal on an Extreme album, and it stood out like a fog horn.

Dude, you're good! Pat Travers is correct.

Oh, yeah. Pat was pretty much a local boy here during the mid to late seventies. It's a shame his albums are somewhat hard to find in stores, other than crummy compilations.

Snortin' Whiskey and BOOM BOOM (Out Go The Lights) were staples on Cleveland radio, back in the days of radio.

I like Pat Travers, and both of those songs still seem to get pretty good airplay on the classic stations here. Or at least they did a couple years back, I haven't listened to much radio lately.

Go For What You Know is a great live twin guitar album. Plus Tommy Aldridge
    kicks ass.

I'm going to see Thorogood WSG Buddy Guy in Detroit in August. I saw him open for ZZ Top a while back and thought he put on a great show.

Saw Ol' George last summer......great show!

Opened up for Bryan Adams. Gosh, in my day, Thorogood and The Destroyers would've been the headliner.
