Ok, now that it is pretty much over , curious to hear what everyone's top 5 songs from the tour were. Hard to pick 5 , I loved almost all of the songs, but here are mine :

    1) everybody wants some - love the beginning of this one and the lighting
    2) runnin' with the devil - this really seemed to get the shows going
    3) unchained - eddie at the beginning, enough said
    4) aint talkin bout love - love the HEY HEY HEY in this one
5 )you really got me - Always love the beginning of the show

This was the first time seeing Dave for me,so it's hard to pick 5 out of it,but here goes....

    5. I'll Wait=never thought i'd hear this live,and it was much etter than I thought it'd be.
    4. Romeo Delight=Always a favorite, and glad they chose to play it
    3. HFT=floored, just love hearing Ed play this to perfection finally...a lot of fun
    2. Beautiful Girls=another favorite of mine
    1. Little guitars= was lucky enough to see this before it was pulled off the set list....Sounded awesome and was one of two songs I absolutely HAD to hear live(DTNA the other)

Can't argue much with that, although I might replace So This Is Love with Unchained. Cradle was a religious experience in Jacksonville as well.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

As I sit here on links, in the hospital after having hip replacement surgery yesterday... I think one of the best things about the tour was the awesome setlist. Sure, I could miss Little Dreamer, but ingeneral the setlist was awesome. I saw 12 shows on this tour (!!!) and for me the top 5, in no particular order:

    unchained
    little guitars
... and the cradle will rock (also love the lasers on this one)
    dance the night away
    romeo delight

which seems to be similar to everyone else's faves! so bummed about losing little guitars. i asked the tech on the 5 star tour at MSG about why it was gone and he just said eddie didn't playt it one night and it never came back. c'est la vie. tour still rocked and if i wasn't in this hospital bed I would be on my way to Grand Rapids!!!

I'm the one. Never heard it live before.
    Mean streets. It just rocks.
    Unchained. DUH.
Dance the night away. Never get tired of it.
    I'll wait. Good song.

Unchained and Mean Street sounded like SHIT at both shows I attended. Outta key, reverb'ed, muddy. Very disappointing, considering I'd have banked on the 'Warning songs taking top honors. STIL, however, smoked in San Diego, a serious crowd - and VS - pleaser.

Cradle was a shock, to be honest. Even with the piped-in keys, it just sounded perfect. Dave nailed the scat, Ed and Al were in tandem time, the solo ripped, the harmonies flowed. Very nice. No way were we expecting that one to be the standout.

Little Guitars was also excellent in San Diego. As I said in my review...the highlights were easily the WACF tracks and LG. The VH1 overload was way overkill, particularly since they skipped the ONLY two tracks we wanted to hear off that album and played every other song off the damned thing. On Fire and Feel Your Love Tonight would've preferable over all else off VH 1 for me and my bud...yep, even over I'm the One and Atomic Punk.

    1. Eddie's Solo - He is the main reason I love VH!
    2. Jamie's Cryin' - One of the few songs I saw/heard on this tour that I never saw/heard before live by solo Dave or any other incarnation of VH.
    3. I'll Wait - Same reason as #2
    4. Romeo Delight - Similar reason as #2 and #3 above but I did see/hear it on the III tour with Gary singing - not the same....
    5. (Oh) Pretty Woman - Love that divebomb!

    Romeo Delight
Somebody Get Me a Doctor - Crossroads Version (Much more energy than Spoonful)
    Unchained
    So This Is Love?
    Hot For Teacher
(Honorable mention) Everybody Wants Some - before they started using the Poundcake drills and stuck to the traditional beginning

It's unusual that I wouldn't put Mean Street on a list like this, except for most of the tour, I don't think they really got in the pocket on this one like I was hoping for. There are isolated instances - several from the past month's shows - that are really tight. But overall, something wasn't quite there. I also didn't like the fact that they butchered the breakdown after the third verse. I actually preferred the live version with Gary better.

Little Guitars would normally be on this list for me, because it's one of my favorites, but Eddie had trouble with it on many nights which took away from my enjoyment. When he nailed it, it was great, but it happened less frequently than I would have hoped.

boy, that's a tough one to keep it to 5, but...

    1. I'm The One---Kicked ass at my first of 6 shows in Philly from row 13
    2. Cradle. Sounded great. Never saw it with Dave solo or VH with Sam obviously.....
    3. So This Is Love...My top 3 VH of all time are this one, Girl Gone Bad and In a Simple Rhyme, so.....
    4. Little Guitars...NEVER thought I'd hear this one. Woulda died to there the 2 listed above...or HAIL...
    5. Unchained.......It would have been Mean Street, but Dave scatted thru that one and I think that really killed it.
