Default F.U.C.K. is the best Van Halen album!!!

I have been a fan of this band for 24 years now and I gotta say that the best year for Van Halen imo was 1991 and the reason why is For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

A straight up feast of mean n potatoes rock from the band that does it best.

Every song is great is great on this album and some are now legendary!

Thinking of back when this album came out gives me chills.

What a great moment in time.

Doesn't even crack my Top 5, honestly. Doesn't mean it isn't good, though.

Can't even TOUCH those five, IMO

F.U.C.K. has some really good songs, but they're surrounded by Grade A filler.

People say how bad the ballads and various other songs are with this band, I think people overlook that "Spanked" has to be one of the band's worst songs, ever. So generic, shitty lyrics (something I don't even focus on with this band). I also never really cared for "Top of the World" because I always saw it as a DTNA rip-off.

Granted, if you ask me, the good songs overshadow the bad. "Judgement Day," "The Dream Is Over," "Poundcake," hell even "Pleasure Dome" (stupid concept, but they fucking tear it up). "In 'N' Out" remains my favorite on the whole thing, sweet track.

easily my favorite VH album...by a mile. I love the production on it, all the little things andy johns does are fantastic (the scream that Sammy does right before the guitar solo while Al is hitting the cowbell, it starts off waaay in the background and comes forward really slowly...it's awsome.

I don't really mind any of the tunes even the filler tracks, I love man on a mission. that was the first song that really got me goin on this disk back in 91. The Dream is Over is just fantastic, same with Jugdement Day...wow is that song awsome.

I just started listening to Poundcake again...I kind lf forgot about that one for a bit now it's in heavy rotation on the IPOD.

Right Now is such a well crafted song, just great from start to finish.

great CD...way under-rated when people talk about 90's rock cd's.

I don't care a whole lot for Spanked, MOAM, In and Out, Pleasure Dome. The RHRN album is almost unlistenable to me as well because of those songs.

Yet F.U.C.K. was probably my favorite Sammy VH concert?

MOAM is another poor song off the album, I think. Very cheesy if you ask me.

As for RHRN being unlistenable yet the FUCK tour being your favorite Sam concert, well, it's not like that album did the tour much justice anyway. Most of it was recorded in the studio anyway.

    Where's the parachute pants, MC?

I would take out WACF and add VH 1 to that list if it were mine.....but...alas....that is not my Top 5 List....it is yours...

    So in closing....WACF...OUT......Van Halen 1.....IN

A fantastic album with only Man On A Mission being the bonafide dog among so many great songs. Top to bottom probably the best Sammy Era album but certainly not the best if you include the first 6.

Just one man's opinion, of course.
    .
    .
    .
VH with Dave ('78-'84) - The best years....the "real" VH.
VH with Sam ('86-'96) - Incredible era....."We have renamed this town 'New Halen!'.
VH with Gary ('98) - Fucking disaster. WTF was that??
VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.
