Default New Single 'I'm On A Roll'

Available at Amazon.com as MP3 download. You're welcome, Chedheads.

    http://www.amazon.com/Im-On-A-Roll/dp/B0018O9TGS

It's kinda Nascar/55 oriented, sorta, I guess, I've only had half a listen so far. There's some decent guitar work by Vic too. Not bad. With Open and then this, seems like Sam's getting back to more Red Rockin' and less Livin' it Up.

Apparently he opened his Cinco de Mayo shows in Tahoe with this song. Amazon says this is the title track from the upcoming album, but we'll see.

I highly suspect that the "album" in question will in fact be a FOX network related deal, devoted to NASCAR. The network puts out one of these compilations every so often, and they already have commissioned other artists (Toby Lightman - "NASCAR Love/Let's Go Racing Boys", MATCHBOX TWENTY -"How Far We've Come") for use in their "NASCAR Image Campaign" so far this year.

I love Sam and all, but damn, his lyrics are dumb.

    "I'm on a roll
    Roll, roll, roll.
    Yeah."

Nice one, Sam. Almost as good as Up For Breakfast.

Ah. Well, I don't keep up on NASCAR-related entertainment, admittedly.

You aren't missing much, as the fan-base is at times just as lunk-headed and clueless as that of VH's, except they have not discovered the internet as widely.

LOL, I suspect that's a good thing, given our example.

Thanks for the clip! Sadly, I could not secure tix for the show this weekend but did manage to catch Rush.

Nice. I'm sure Rush was awesome as always. I'm catching 'em this Thursday in LA.

The Scorpions/Sammy gigs are gonna be epic. You oughta try to make it over to Kelseyville to see 'em. It's a haul, but how often are ya gonna see these two outfits co-bill together?

I know. I keep hoping they'll add more dates b/c the Scorps always play Reno but who knows?

My only gripe about the Rush show was that they didn't play Working Man. I love that tune. Great show tho.

They aren't gonna play Reno this time. They're just playing a few one-offs at their 'preferred' venues. For some reason they always play Kelseyville and Costa Mesa. As I mentioned before, I think they either owe favors, have family in the areas, or have preferred status with those venues.

The closest gig to you is gonna be Konocti Harbor at Clear Lake. Make a weekend of it, head west. Should be epic. Plus, I hear the Scorps are gonna be taking a long break after this year.

Aww man. Really??? Why they gotta break?

    Bummer.

Where is this Konocti Harbor of which you speak? Is Kelseyville the closest show? Why Kelseyville of all places? I know, you mentioned it already. Just wondering out loud.

funny.....sam just keeps pumpin out music, all the time. It might be a song here and there but he's still goin and still rockin.

the clip was OK, I can see the nascar influence, the guitar is kickin in that clip.

let see just for fun sammy's put out what since the 96 fiasco:

    5 full length studio albums

    3 DVD's

2 studio tracks in the last year plus he recut I can't drive 55 somewhere along the way.

the guy is a machine, like him or hate him he just keeps going and going and going.

Konocti is up in Lake County, a good hour and a half or so north of The City. I also saw a date for Shoreline Amp. in Mtn. View which I would be more inclined to go see b/c of the ease of getting to Mtn. View vs. Konocti.
