Default **Reviews from Tahoe Wabo 5/3 or 5/4 anybody?**

I am curious to hear some reviews from either of these shows and if Mikey was there. I know someone who went last night but I won't see him until Friday

I think Sammy is a blast, but this list is getting lame. With his catalog, he should have a better set. Is he going to embarrass himself with the country folk at Chesney? Oh well, rock on Sam.

Usually he adds more to his set as the tour goes on.

Embarrass? I don't think Sammy feels embarrassed doing anything. The only people who get embarrassed are the people who aren't comfortable in their own skin.

True, Sammy doesn't care what people think, lol. That suits him fine. He does need to ROCK IT OUT A BIT though.

I have seen several of Sammy's solo shows and am going to my next one on May 23rd. Yes, this list is a bit "used", but there would be a riot if the short termers or new fans didn't here "55" or "1Way2Rock". Those are his staples and really need to be kept for that reason. Besides, if he is hunting for new fans at country shows, those folks need to hear these for sure. Many for the first time 'live'.

Serious Ju Ju and Mas Taquila should go I admit, but he never does the same set list twice so I'm sure he will be mixing it up a bit from stop to stop.

Rock on Sammy! See ya soon!!

Sammy lame??? You can't blame him for going with crowd favorites. Vh has played Jump and Panama at almost every show for the past 24 years for that exact same reason.
He's playing for the crowd and that's all there is to it. Just like Blow Jovi will play Livin' on a prayer at most shows.
I'd love to hear the accoustic version of Dreams. Greatest VH song ever.

He's not LAME. He just needs to pick from that great catalog of his. He can do the standards, but variety is priceless. As far as Jump AND Panama? Well, Dave just came back,,, so they needed to play them.

    I hear that.

I think that once Sammy starts playing with his country buddies the playlist might get even worse. However I'm excited to see what he brings out for the shows with the Scorpions. I'm guessing he might bring out a few more classic/heavier hits. Let's hope.

I went to the Friday show. They played about two hours. It was a good show. Sammy's 60 now so I ain't gonna fault him for anything. Cool things about the setlist for me was "Good Enough" (my first time live) and the acoustic "Dreams" was way better than I imagined. "Serious Juju" had a long dual drum solo bit that was great, with Sam on the stand-up kit.

Before the show in the casino Mike's bass tech Kevin Dugan came up and jokingly asked me where I got my Mad Anthony shirt. I've met him before...cool guy.

After the show we were at Fatburger and Sammy's brother grabbed a table near us. I said a little bit to him when we left.
