'Old Van Halen, when I was in it-classic Van Halen-makes you wanna drink, dance and screw, right? And the new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.' - David Lee Roth.

Awesome links. Awesome tone. Best you can get while still jacking your Detune/chorus up. Wow.

    Nice!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you actually DON'T play guitar a lot.

You DO realize that the Tokyo show is the probably most sober and accurate Eddie has ever been, right? As in.....EVER.

The band *clearly* revamps their shows for Asia, where there is a premium on musicianship, virtuosity, and blazing speed for every instrument. The guitar is hiked way up (highest ever in a live show) for playing comfort, the rock-god "vibe" is almost non-existent (notice: no thrown picks), and the musicianship is WAAAAY up.

It's not like it's Europe, where they're a joke-of-an-opening act for Bon Jovi, but rather, the precision hard-rock band that America DESERVED during this show.

This is as accurate & intense as Eddie EVER was back in the 1980s.

I just thought he was having too good of a time...that mine all mine solo is probably one of my favorite live eddie solo's of all time.

I haven't listened to OU812 in a long time, so these videos are a real treat. AFU and Black and Blue rock.

I've been listening to OU812 alot over the last few weeks, I really think there is just great songs on that disk, the production is the only thing that brings it down. the only downer is sucker in a 3 piece for me...I just think they threw that together...it sounds unfinished. Source is kinda the same way but I dig that song for some reason.
