    Default Solo Mission

Ok, if the band does manage to launch Phase II of the tour successfully, I have decided I am going to take the plunge early and go to the Cinncinnati show. It's a 4 hour drive for me and I have not bought a ticket, but I plan on leaving work early so I can get there before show time and try to negotiate a good ticket price on the sidewalk. (Which I have never done... makes it a little more exciting - HAHA) I am traveling alone on this mission. I feel it is my duty as a diehard VH fan. It's a 4 hour trek, but all things considered, this may be my last chance to see the King. I saw them in Charlotte and was very pleased with the show. To some I may appear a fool, but in these times of crisis, recession and bad news I need something to kick this summer into high gear. Maybe I'll luck out and catch Sammy later on in the year, but at this moment my priority is to see the brothers one last, and possibly FINAL time. I sure hope not, but it's a chance I cannot take. Here's to a hopeful and successful launch to the second leg of the VH tour!!

Rock on man. I got one more in me too. Also, don't buy printed tickets off the sidewalk, you might get scammed.

Not totally true. As long as the seller is willing to walk you in, no need to avoid printed tickets. In fact, there is a good chance you will find 3 people who had the 4th bail, and they don't want to eat their ticket. Walk in with them and pay when you get in.

Bring a printed seating chart as well so you can see what kind of seat you are getting. Still decent tickets on TM so worse case scenario you can buy a ticket at the box office. No need to end up in the shit seats unless they are dirt cheap and that's what you want to do.

Solo missions are the best. I drove 6 hours to Greensboro and nine to Uncasville, CT on the first leg. I have three scheduled on this leg. Fingers crossed.

I've been to tons of shows by myself. Heck, if I waited for others to jump in I'd have missed a bunch of great concerts in the past.

I drove fifteen hours to get to Woodstock. I wound up parking my car along the shoulder of the highway and walking the last few miles in.

Turns out it was in 1969.

So...that part kind of sucked. But it was a nice drive.
    Hope you have better luck.

    Good luck!!!

I'm probably going to go to the Mohegan Sun show alone. That is only a 50 minute ride for me.

    Good luck!

But, get there early and go to the box office first to see if they have anything good. Sometimes they let great seats go the day of the show, especially at the box office!

If that does not work, stay away from the scammers (scalpers). You can usually have good luck with buying a ticket from someone who has an extra.

I did a solo mission to Mohegan Sun. Won $600 before the show. VH kicked ass. Then the Red Sox won on a Manny Ramirez HR. Great Day!

Go for it! Technically, this would probably be considered Phase III of the tour (assuming a successful re-launch!). But hey, how many people thought it would make it this far?

I Plane to do the same thing myself, but I won’t be alone this time though, Cincinnati is only 90 minutes from my house and my sister lives right across the river. I have always got the best tickets for a show right before the show starts. I would and will defiantly check the ticket office first, they always seem to release great seats right before the show starts, and if you are only buying one seat you could wind up in the front.

How does a 27 year old attend Woodstock in 1969?

    Inquiring minds want to know...
