Sounds like you have a loose ground wire. If you are even the slightest tech savvy, unscrew the back plate of the guitar that covers all the wiring. Look for a loose wire when you open it. The tell take sign is the wire is dangling close to a piece of solder that it was once connected to. Heat the solder up that once held the wire in place. Press wire into melted solder, wait one second and let go. Ground is now fixed.

If it's not this obvious, it could be a loose wire that has yet to come completely disconnected. Look for a bare silver wire that is obviously separate from the others and press it firmly against where it is solder and see if the buzz stops. Don't worry about being plugged into your amp while doing this, you wont get shocked. If you find the wire, just re-solder it to where it is supposed to go.

If none of these options work, take it to a tech. It's an easy and cheap fix.

I don't claim to be an expert, but I have resolved this issue many times before by doing the above. Trial and error.

If what Warmoth talked about isn't the problem, then check to see if you're plugged into an ungrounded outlet. Are you using a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter?

If all seems well behind the cavity, then it (the ground wire) pulled itself off the tailpeice. This is real rare, specially from an Epi, but I've had it happen. It happened to me with a Gibson Exsplorer once.
Just pray that isn't the case.
