    Default Eddie Trunks Says....

Eddie Trunk mentioned this VH tidbit on his recent blog...

"Another bit of dirt I hear is that the future of VH might still be very much up in the air. If the band does not resume the tour I would expect DLR to go out solo instantly to keep momentum"

Take it for what it's worth. I guess we'll finf out in a few weeks if they are going to finish the tour.

    Now there's some cutting-edge insight.

The "future of VH might still be very much up in the air" and the lead singer might take off to pursue/continue a solo career. Stop me if you've heard all of this before.

VH with Dave ('78-'84) - The best years....the "real" VH.
VH with Sam ('86-'96) - Incredible era....."We have renamed this town 'New Halen!'.
VH with Gary ('98) - Fucking disaster. WTF was that??
VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

Eddie Trunk has been covering the hard rock/heavy metal scene for well over 20 years now. He IS the only radio show in New York City that would even play a song like "D.O.A." or "Drop Dead Legs" or "Good Enough." Eddie's show is the only one that had an exclusive interview with Axl Rose over the last couple of years.

Eddie Trunk IS the guy who carries the torch for hard rockin' music on terrestrial and XM/Sirius radio.

Needless to say, Ed has come up with some valuable and reliable contacts over the years regarding the type of music we love.

If Eddie Trunk says that DLR is ready to rock if this tour doesn't continue, he has heard that from a big time reliable source. That means DLR has contacted other people about going out on his own in the near future. That means all is not well in VH land.

That all means life as usual for a VH fan.

If Dave would actually RELEASE something new, if he went his own way I wouldn't be too upset. I just want someone in this bunch to release an album that isn't covers or Jimm Buffett wannabe tracks.

But I know that isn't going to happen!
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

Momentum or not, I just don't see people clamoring to see a VH cover act so soon after the (near)real thing.

Van Halen rescheduled all the postponed dates , not only that , they added a NEW DATE in Reno. This tour is going to continue.

Maybe he is talking about the future after the tour.

I find it impossible to believe VH would reschedule all the dates and add a new show if there was any reasonable chance the tour would not continue.

Wow did he come up with that all on his own or does he know a guy that knows a guy.
