    Default Favourite Music Concert DVDs

For the concert content, gotta go with Motley Crue's Carnival of Sins DVD. Probably does the job I've seen of catching a band's sound and showmanship. The DVD production is also astounding.
A close second is The Long Road to Cabo. It really does capture everything you can ask for, a great idea and a great watch.
Also gotta throw in Live Without A Net, Eddie simply wails throughout

I gotta go with the G3 in Denver. Firstly because it's wicked awesome. And 2nd because I'm the dude who yells during Malmsteen's acoustic solo, and he puts his finger up to say "shut yer face, so I can solo all over it".

I also think wore out my RHRN dvd... The first G3 dvd also got lots of heavy airplay on my tube.

Carnival of Sins - Motley Crue
    R30 - Rush
The Crush Tour - Bon Jovi

If those are the only three concert DVDs I needed to survive the rest of my life, I'd be fine.

Any U2 show, but primarily "ZOO-TV Live In Sydney", "POP-MART Live in Mexico City", and "Under A Blood Red Sky".

From the KISSology series, the Budokan show on Volume 1 and the "Psycho Circus" show from Dodger Stadium on Volume 3

I STILL need that POPMART DVD. I can almost guarantee it'd be added on my list, based on what I've seen on youtube. I can only imagine how outstanding it would be on the family's 50" Plasma.

    Rush: R-30 DVD Deluxe Edition.

A perfect DVD package, collector guitar picks, backstage pass, great audio/video mix and edit, bonus CDs for the stereo.

Every Friday night I do beers and music dvd's. I probably own 30 or so pro shots and 35 or so bootleg dvd's. It's my hobby, so thanks for the thread.

Pearl Jam: Touring Band 2000 is by far the one I watch the most. I can't get sick of it.

Metallica Live Shit: Binge and Purge is a must. Cunning Stunts I fucking love.

Rush in Rio, R30, Crue: Carnival, Zeppellin: Song Remains the Same all clutch.

    Love LWAN.

The best dvd I own? Van Halen Montreal Forum Montreal,CN 4-19-84
I feel lucky every time I put it in. If you don't own it, you're only hurting yourself.

Yep, that one is pretty fucking burly.

The Three Doors Down dvd, "Away from the Sun" is pretty high on the burly scale as well. Out.

Any U2 or AC/DC concert DVD is worthwhile.

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers have a couple of good ones, both the Runnin' Down A Dream - 30th Anniversary Concert and the Sound Stage DVD's are good.

Led Zeppelin's DVD and Pink Floyd's Pulse are also good.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth
