Default old bugger's trip down memory lane

Don't know what's wrong with me tonight. Maybe it's because I have to split my time between Germany and the UK and in Germany I only have "business" internet access.

    Who cares.

Post your (probably) youtube vids of bands that disappeared a long time ago and that remind you of your misspent youth. If it's less than 20 years old it is probably still too fresh in the memory but what the hell, rules are pointless anyway.

No famous classics. Maybe we can learn something from each other here.....

Remember this bunch? Didn't really get that far but knocked out a a few good tunes and it sure reminds me of being a teen.

...and this lot. Enough tragedy to fill a book and the reason why guns'n'roses (probably) got a deal. Nice little guitar intro too......

A man could lose himself in a country like this.

Cool ones, graeme. Hanoi Rocks was a fave of mine.

Coming of age in the Bay Area during the 80's, two bands stand out for me:

The Sea Hags (I loved these guys. Heroin, unfortunately, got the best of them).

And Death Angel, good old school Thrash:

Excellent thread! Here's a few that take me back.

One of my all time favorite bands. They're still out there too, saw them last year!

I loved this band back in the early to mid 1980's. One of the tightest live bands I ever saw. I saw this tour in Memphis in the winter of '84 at the old Auditorium North Hall, a venue built for symphonies and operas. The acoustics were perfect for a metal show. The bill was Twisted Sister, Y&T with Dokken opening. Still one of the best shows I've ever seen!

I was a big Vivian Campbell guy back in these days. Although I think he's totally wasting his talent in Def Leppard, I almost dug him more than Ed when I was a teenager. This is one reason why!

This one is really off the wall for me, but I'll say Vandenberg. Saw them as an opener for Ozzy back in the mid 80s. They, like Van Halen did to Sabbath in 78, blew Ozzy off the stage....

This might not really be "old enough",but I remember buying this album cuz it was advertised in one of them mags back in the day(Circus,HP or something). Fell in love with the album instantly, and to this day,I like listening to what I have left of it,which isn't all of it. Had to d/l what I could find since I had it on cassette and never on CD. I remember hearing later that the Crue had a new singer from the band "The Scream" and I about shit.......but was letdown with that Crue album. It was just way too different.

Anyway,I think the cassette I had of this was the fastest to get "stretched" from overplay.

Twenty Years can never cover the trail of stolen meat, begging on beer buyers, muddy shoes and that small fire in the woods.

    I'll go to bed now.
