Default What are your expectations of VH from this point on?

New music? more tours? All member tour with Sammy, Mike, Gary?

What do you expect from the band?

P.S. This should be some funny reading!!!

I really don't expect anything from them.

My guesses...the present lineup will finish the tour. No new music, cd's..over, done. Isn't what I want to happen, just guessing.

To put this thing to rest after the current tour dates are over. But, before they do, I want them to release a much needed box set of rarities and deeper cuts along with perhaps a DVD of old classic concerts mixed right and pro shot. It will be a travesty if they don't offer the fans this.

At this point I don't think that they have any deeper cuts that we haven't heard yet. Like Sam has said, sure Ed has 10 albums worth of "noodling" around, but no songs.

I agree with the profesional DVD's of old shows...they've got plenty of that somewhere.

The band needs to retire after the end of this tour, and Ed should join up with Satch and Vai.

The one thing I would like to see is a live CD and/or DVD of the current tour when they are in really good form. Perhaps no better chance than Tiger jam? To say nothing of 1978-1984 era footage that's known to exist.

Will there be new material? Doubtful. Would I like to hear new material? If everyone were 'into' the process, yes. If its another version of III, then no.

I hope he does not do that. He does not have the chops to keep up with them anymore. I would hate to see side by side comparisons in current time. Ed doesn't belong in G3. Not anymore.

I expect they will finish the tour. There will probably be a Live Album of this tour with maybe a couple "new" songs they recorded with Dave on it. I say "new" because Dave said that they had recorded some stuff when they were working together earlier that they never did anything with, and he was dissappointed because he said they were really good.

There's always a possibility that there could be a new album, but I doubt it.
My guess, based on history is that this tour is about two things:

    1) Being able to tour with his son

    2) Launching his new line of guitars, amps and accessories

I have no expectations. That way... anything they do release is just a pleasant surprise!

Even though I have no expectations, I am hoping for at least a live album / DVD from this tour, and a box set of leftovers / unreleased demos. They could easily do both of those without having to spend a single day in 5150.

I expect nothing except perhaps DLR giving one hell of an interview if becomes evident that VH is in the pasture.

When I did go to a G3 show, I never once was rating who had the best chops, I was just amazed at all the great guitar playing. They are all different types of players. I think he'd fit in great. Remember when Robert Fripp toured?? Quite different than Johnson, vai, Satch, Petrucci, but still very cool!! Hell didn't Kenny Wayne Shepard go out one year with them?

I think G3 is more about just celebrating the love for guitar!!

I also think he'd fit in, becuase I don't see him being able to tour with a "singer" in the future.
