Will the rescheduled shows be as successful as the first leg?

There's a lot of complaining by the fans on this site. So do you think the rescheduled shows be a let down? Or do you think Van Halen will rebound and leave the majority of their fans wanting more?

More folks are showing at one arena than are on this site. The casual fans are flocking to see these shows. IMO depending on how the local stations etc are promoting these shows will be a big factor in determining the attendance. I doubt any show would be less than 3/4 full if not sold out.

Yes I know there are exceptions to this, but the first leg overall was safer Van Halen markets than this second leg. So there might have been some drop even if there wasn't this stall. That said, all it takes is a well rehearsed David Lee Roth to do 10 minutes of media in each market before the shows and they'd move more tickets.

No. They'll be doing the same old show and it'll get tired after the third or fourth night when someone claims Ed is drinking again.

I know the lighting guy named Guy Pavelo. I asked him if he knew the real insider about what's going on and he said that nobody really knows ...the VH camp is really hush hush on everything. Remember, all the crew's jobs are affected also from this whole ordeal. Let's just hope for the best.

Lets hope so. I saw em in Philly in Oct. Gonna see em again in May. Gots 15th row. I really have no dought it will be just as good if not better. The had plenty of time to fix whatever problems the crew was having.

    Great question.

I guess it all depends on what is/was wrong with EVH.

I think the rest will do them good.

For people who have already seen the show a little excitement is gone because of the same set-list. But given it looked like the tour was over a couple of weeks ago , I think people who are going again are become re-energized by the fact we will be getting more VH , even if set list is the same. Also if Eddie looks good and appears to be happy and healthy , people are going to be thrilled to see him.

Don't really understand the question...do you mean they won't sell? Or do you just mean they will suck?

I think they will sell, probably better than before, just because there is more time to sell tickets. The MSG and IZod shows had plenty of unsold seats coming up to the week of the shows...with another 2 months to sell tickets, I'd think they'll do better. I also believe not too many people are returning tickets, if just because it hasn't crossed their mind to do it or they don't know how. Even people here had to ask numerous questions just to figure out they COULD do it, and then HOW to do it. And you'd think people here would be pretty well informed.

I sold a couple sets of tix on ticketexchange, and as of now they haven't been returned.

Will the shows suck? Unlikely. They are pretty much on auto-pilot, and the rest won't hurt. I'd guess the shows are mostly average, with a couple great shows.

I took advantage of peoplr returning their tixs. I traded in my 26th row Wolf side seat for a 15th row Eddie side..

They rocked MSG last year--Im sure, if EVH is feeling better, they'll rock the Garden again...

I think there well be less excitement meaning less people showing up. Additionally, with all the cancellations and rescheduling alot of real fans wont be going do to schedule conflict. I really dont care regardless, they have made hugh money on the shows already played, and I am going in may at MSG NYC 5-star and have seen then 2 times so far. NJ and NYC 2007. I just hope it happens and that Ed gets things in order.

Well, if you believe Pollstar, the first leg had over 99% of tickets sold, so the bar is set pretty high. I have to think the band will take a hit, some momentum will have been lost and far fewer people will commit to traveling out to shows. If everything really does resume on time on April 19th and the first few reviews are strong, the hit probably won't be too bad.
