Default What do you get when.......

What do you get when you combine a PRS Custom 24, a Music Man EVH and a Peavey Wolfgang?

    Take a look:

Those guitars look great. I'm not wild about the back being painted black, but they still look really nice overall.

That body style is starting to grow on me. But I still dont like it. Lets say I wouldn't buy one.
Just wondering why they chose Alder. Should be Ash or Mohog IMO.
Price surprized me though. I thought it would be alot more exspensive.

Maybe so, but the guitar you posted has absolutely no resemblence to a PRS Custom 24 and the body looks more like a Telecaster than an EBMM or Wolfgang IMO.

I just don't see the resemblence of any of the guitars you mentioned.

To me, everything from the centerline down, and the bridge pickup back looks like a PRS, including the carve of the top. The top "horn" looks like it was based off of an EBMM. The headstock to me looks like a PRS headstock that has the tuning machines slightly offset like a Wolfgang ,and it has the "notch" carved out of it like the Wolfgang.

the neck profile is .890...wolfgang necks are .815's! That thing would be like a baseball bat neck for me...

Aside the fact that the guitar you posted doesn't even have 24 frets (hence the name Custom 24), PRS guitars don't have the pitched headstock like the guitar posted. Not having this pitch to thier headstock offers no added friction on the strings and offers their own tremolo system to work more efficient. From the "bridge pickup back", I see a Floyd bridge which PRS never used, so I'm not too sure what is meant by that.

I guess there is a similarity in that both guitars have a carved top, but so do Les Pauls, Wolfgangs, etc ...

Sorry bro ... I've owned many PRS guitars and I just don't see the similarities you're talking about.

Just talking about the general shape of the body, not the details of everything. I respect your opinion Dino, but we'll just have to agree to dis-agree on this one. I totally see all the characteristics of a Wolfgang, an EBMM and a PRS in this guitar.

Aside from that, what do you think of it? I think I like it, but I would like to see a deeper cut into the body behind the top horn, and I would like to see the top horn more rounded at the top edge. Other than that, I really like it. As it stands, I think I could get used to the thing the way it is.

Check out the quality of work in this section of his website:

BTW Dino, is that your work on the 5150 guitar?
