    List price $299.95

Edit: Holy Shit! I wrote the above price as a joke because I couldn't imagine anyone paying that much for a cable. Then I clicked on the link.

    Not for me, thanks.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he was using George L's cables... Yellow and black stripes... Not the ones in that link.

In all seriousness, your cable does have alot to do with your tone. Dollar for Dollar, Peavey XCON's were a great value, but I think they stopped making them.

These are some of the best pics I got with some cable action from the tour.
It seems they all have the black and color pattern. Some white, some yellow.
    Hope these help.

You're right, he was using George L cables on the '98 tour, and I figured he was still using the same.

I had some of the Peavey XCONs, by the way, but they broke. A guy at a shop told me that there was a replacement policy on them where you could bring them back to the shop and exchange them for new ones if they got broken, no questions asked, but I never took advantage of that.

EvH guitar cables for tone ... the most ridiculous marketing attempt thus far IMO.

agreed but i myself do use mogami cables in my rack and from the guitar to amp. i use monster cables for all speaker connections. while its abit more its nothing like those prices above. cable does have a effect on the highs and lows going from your amp to gear and guitar to amp etc. not 200 bucks worth though lol.

I totally agree that cables are important...
But can you guys really tell a difference in "tone" or just the signal in general?
I use a wireless and I can tell a very slight loss in something, but I'm not sure if I would describe it as a loss of tone, or maybe just a weaker signal.

Either way, it's not significant enough to my ears to really worry about.
If I really wanted to work on my tone, I would prefer to spend the $200 on something that would make a difference that I could actually hear.

If you try "Monster Cable" you'll understand what difference can make...

Speaking of EVH, didn't he say once that "I couldn't live without my sony wireless system!"

Then he said "he's my new brother"...
