"Dirty Water Dog" Ed And Gary solo performance

This is fairly uncommon...Ed Van Halen and Gary Cherone perform "Dirty Water Dog" solo. Sorry, source unknown.

    "Dirty Water Dog" semi-acoustic(4:13)

This was at the Hard Rock in Boston in August of 1998. (I was there) Day before Gary blew out his voice during a show at Great Woods. (I was there) They postponed until the next night. (I was there)! ha

The intro Ed does on this one is pretty cool with the harmonics mixed in there.

Cool find Chef, that is one of the better songs from III IMO. When it comes to VH a new find is always exciting, even if it is ten years old!

I'm not gonna lie, I very much miss Van Halen 3 when compared to what we have now.

Nice find. That really is a sick riff.

So is "I Want Some Action"...

Oh wait, it's the same thing

But in seriousness, yeah, that's one of my favorite performances. Sounded pretty cool in the raw like that. One of my favorites from III as well. The riff really IS amazing, too.

I used to have this on a cd I made of VH oddities. Not the best sound quality, but still an awesome find!

I missed the hard rock, but I was at both great woods shows, then we drove down to NYC for the madison square garden show...

We ended up having great seats for the first great woods show, becuase it wasn't sold out we moved up to about the 10th row, figures Gary had to blow his voice out that night.

You might be able to search on youtube for a cleaner version, I might have an mp3 of this somewhere.

    I look for it.

    Thanks for the link, Sucka.

By the way, I did find a recently established youtube cut of the Ed/Sam performance of "Right Now" at the "Bridge School Benefit" (I used to have the entire thing ) that you can check out here:http://www.vhlinks.com/vbforums/show...4&postcount=21
