    Default Ed's wah

Ed's wah is now on http://www.jimdunlop.com/ and is supposedly released. Does anybody know where to buy one and how much they are going for?

the usual suspects are not carrying the pedal...if it is truly released I'm sure we'll see it soon enough...$175 is my bet...

It's been on there for quite some time now. Nothing on the site has changed. I can't WAIT to see how much this thing costs though.

This SUGGESTED LIST PRICE of the new Buddy Guy Wah-Wah:....Get ready for this...........$354.90

Well...I guess it is suggested...the EVH Phaser's suggested list price is $240.72 and I have yet to see one crack the $200 barrier anywhere.

Once they hit the market, I'll be able to order these. If anyone is interested let me know. I don't want to take orders until they're available, but will be glad to quote a price once available.

I can't guarantee I can beat the big stores, but I'll do my best. If anyone is interested in Dunlop/MXR products, let me know.

Us freaks on this board are probably the only people who would buy the striped wah

According to this place, which I don't know from a hole in the ground (I just search EVH95), the list price will be $298.68.

$260? F that. I'll be upgrading to the 535Q instead.

    --edit--

did the same search for evh95. found 3 more sites that are apparently carrying the wah. prices range from $170 to $190.

$170 is reasonable. That's how much the Slash and Buddy Guy signatures wahs go for.

"Early on in the process, Eddie handed over his “Holy Grail” Crybaby—a standard Crybaby customized in the early Nineties with a more vocal-like, High Q inductor and a wider frequency sweep.Amazingly, we found that over the years Eddie’s unique wah style, which uses mostly the middle range of the pedal’s action, had carved his own curve into the pot’s resistive element, making the middle range even more defined and increased the low-end sweep. Our clones of the worn-in pot and hand-selected inductor give the new EVH Wah Wah the same “Holy Grail” feel and tone, and its true hardwire bypass, dual bright blue bypass LEDs, and graphics based on the black and yellowstriped guitar featured on Van Halen II round out this EVH-approved Crybaby with a voice and look all its own."

    What a crock of shit.
He "carved his own curve into the pot’s resistive element" ... yeah right.

That is fookin' hilarious. He leaves it in the middle position, barely moving his foot. Very unique indeed.YAY!

hahaha gotta love the bullshit story they came up with to make it sound like his wah is as desirable as the sought after "brownsound". I'll have to say no thanks to this 300 dollar product just because of the stripes and stick to my standard dunlop wah. This is just getting ridiculous now. At least the straps aren't as ridiculously priced as they used to be.

I'm happy with my "Bad Horsie".
    I like the "switchless" feature.

If I were in the market for another wah, I'd be curious to check out the Morley "Tremonti" model.
I'm not sure if I'd like the tone sweep, but I really like the idea of having a boost control on the wah.
