Default BILLBOARD SAYS NO SHOWS TIL APRIL 19th

    From Billboard.com at 5:25 ET.
The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

As i look at the schedule, here's an interesting twist.
Eddie is going to spend the next month getting straightened out, and then the first stop is going to be Vegas.

Absolutely, any AA guy worth his salt would tell you that there would be no better way to celebrate your newly recovered sobriety than going to Las Vegas.

To reiterate a post I made in another thread, I might as well paste my thoughts here:

"The Tour will continue guys. Trust me, I know. They have to finish the dates!!!!"

    Hah!

Honestly, who's surprised? I mean, there's no way Ed could've made it back on the road after 1.5 weeks in rehab. I just don't see how ANYONE could think that's alright.

A month? Eh, I'd say that's still not enough time, but whatever. I'll be castrated if I say more than that

    Shocker.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Van Halen Putting Tour On Hold For A Month

    March 10, 2008, 5:25 PM ET

    Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
After postponing a handful of dates last week in order for guitarist Eddie Van Halen to undergo tests for an unspecified medical condition, Van Halen is postponing all tour activity until April 19.

Seventeen shows are affected, beginning tomorrow night (March 11) in Charlottesville, Va., and running through April 15 in Baltimore.

According to organizers, Van Halen, who has battled cancer and substance abuse, "is currently under doctors' care" and will "continue medical tests to define a course of treatment." No further details were made available.

Fans are being asked to keep their tickets, which will be honored at makeup dates to be announced.

Van Halen returned to the road last fall with original lead singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 20-plus years. The tour, which features Eddie Van Halen's teenage son Wolfgang on bass, has routinely sold out North American arenas.

Just heard it on the radio here in Pittsburgh.

The DJ said... I think they're actually canceling rather than postponing and "I wouldn't be surprised if they blow the whole tour up at this point".

I think VH is doing the right thing. If Ed needs more diagnosis/treatment, then let him get well before going back on tour.

    As predicted.

Oh well, sorry to all you guys and gals holding tickets.

If Ed is finally serious about sobriety then I wouldn't hold your breath for April 19th either.

Ah, but is Ed really serious?

That is the million dollar question.
