Default Original Floyd Rose Trem Block Screws

I've been stumped on finding these for a while. Does anyone know where I can buy mounting screws for an original Floyd Rose brass tremolo block?

I've combed AllParts and eBay looking for them. I wouldn't think they would be that difficult to find.

Shoot me a PM with your address Andrew ...
I may have some spares laying around.

Yet they look remarkably similar to basic projection weld screws. Could you guys not go to a hardware store or online fastener manufacturer for them? I'm sorry, but $2.50 per item is highway robbery.

    Talk about a screw-job ...(couldn't resist ).

There's been a guy on ebay for years who's doing exactly that. I'm sure he just runs down to Fastenal and buys them in bulk for about a penny a piece, and sells them on ebay for $2.50.

This is all that's on eBay right now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=018

I don't know if mounting screws intended for a Schaller Floyd would fit an original Floyd block. Either way, $14 for three screws is crazy.

Score one AGAIN for the Links gang; I've got two areas to explore--Chef's projection weld screws idea and Dino's excellent work finding someplace that sells them.

What you could also look for are "hex head socket screws".

Yeah, these are chrome yet you could spray paint them. Here is a link to a bolt manufacturer (Look under "Chrome Socket Flat Heads"):
    http://www.boltdepot.com/Chrome-nuts-and-bolts.aspx

I did a little more digging and discovered these same type screws are used in R/C cars, and are sold at rip-off prices by hobby shops as well!

Look, the point is you can buy a box of the damned things for under $14.00. Invest a mere ten minutes of your time on Google Image. It appears that it would be worth it.

www.fastenal.com also has them, and they run about $17 per box of 100. Also, there are Fastenal retailers in most major metropolitan areas. Just another option.
