Default Hot for teacher vs Looking for a lady

Have you ever heard the song "Looking for a lady" from the album "Wolf" by Trevor Rabin? Here's a clip: http://www.musicdownloads2008.com/listen/777796.m3u

This album is from 1981, wonder if "Hot for teacher" is inspired from this tune? The rhythm is scary close.... It's either Simon Phillips or Jack Bruce playing...

"Wolf" is an excellent album btw.

Uncanny. Surely the brothers heard that. Not that it matters. Cool find.

Well if you are going to say that, then you must also mention Billy Cobham's "Spectrum", which came out much earlier (1973). The differences in the opening (other than it's played on keyboards) are minimal.

spectrum is an incredible record. I first heard it about 10 years ago and was blown away by how similar it and Hot for Teacher are.
