Default Van Halen Maritime Show widely Rumoured

Looks like VH has been approached or is going to be approached about doing a show in Prince Edward Island. Now before anyone dismisses this, my brother is a part of the local media, and thanks to him and his connections I knew of Motley Crue, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Ozzy, etc. all coming east about 2 months before they were ever announced.
This rumour is in the early stages yet is generating a lot of discussion amongst local forums, and I can honestly say (as evidenced) above that these rumours very rarely materialize into nothing. I'll keep you all posted.

I guess that's a good sign for a world tour. If they are willing to get some ships rolling to move all that equipment, our buds in Australia and Europe might just be in luck.

Frankly, this rumor could be likely just because it isn't that exciting
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

Actually you'd be surprised. 5 years ago I'd agree with you, but after the Rolling Stones drew 85,000 people at $110 a ticket and Aerosmith drew 30,000 at $85 a ticket, there's no reason to think VH won't be next. Other than the fact they're VH.

    "ships rolling"?

Perhaps that could have been worded a tad better, at least for our friends abroad.

Perhaps you're right. But then again, our friends aboard might be more concerned than our friends abroad.

And the Moncton show (my hometown) was canceled. As for electricity on PEI, they had it while I was there for Aerosmith this past summer; but I'm only there once every few years so maybe it was a special occassion. If they're thinking an outdoor show, then the best place to do it is the pope site in Moncton NB where the Stones played, huge crowd, and the elevation of the land makes it so a guy 70,000 people back can still see the stage.

I think I posted this before, but I'll tell it again: in 1981 VH did stop in Moncton although the show never happened. A friend of a guy I know took their bags to the limo when Dave approached him and asked "don't you want an autograph?" and the guy, for whatever reason, said "no thanks". Dave stormed off and got back in the limo, at which point Eddie looked at the guy and gave him the thumbs up with a great big grin. Nice to know their was no tension back then either.

Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Yeah, we have just enough for big outdoor concerts once a year! LOL

Aerosmith last year, so VH this year seems quite plausible. Plus, I've heard from a friend that they've booked an entire floor of the biggest hotel here for the night of August 30th...

Yes, I actually do live on P.E.I.
