    Default The Amsterdam Video

I never purchased the DVD video hits, only the VHS - so I'm not sure if this is on the DVD with the extra vids. Not the best quality....but thought I'd put it up anyway.

hmmm, it was only AFTER I posted my video that another video showed on the side menu. It's much better quality. I try to search all vids before I post them...not sure the youtube search feature is the best.

The lyrics of this song and the concept of the video (amsterdam = sex, weed and booze) played a major part in the 1996 break-up. The VH bros were offended by that. On this issue I kind of side with them - Sam could've rhymed Amsterdam with something else than "wham bam," for chrissakes!

I love the line in the video - "Score me some stuff for my head".

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. But after listening to "Ballot or the Bullet" or "How Many Say I," Ed has no business bitching about bad lyrics.

BTW, Amsterdam actually does have sex and weed, regardless of the song.
I don't have a cool signature. Deal with it!

So why'd they play on the damn song?

(I've known a couple of chaps who've been to Amsterdam and to hear them talk about the place, the song is really rather G-Rated by comparison)

This played a major part in the 1996 breakup? Surely thought it had more to do with Ed's altered personality due to maybe.....years of alcoholism. Hasen't the last decade really shown who had the problem? I think you may have forgotten to take some of your meds.
