I really enjoyed the movie "Once" when it was released to theaters. Best movie I have seen in a long time. My wife, who also enjoyed the movie, got me both the soundtrack and dvd for Christmas. I highly recommend renting it.

Frankly, it was a tossup for the third spot between this gung-ho Greek meatfest and Michael Bay's overblown toy commercial, "Transformers." A lot of people got off on both, I realize, and the computer-generated work was impressive in its way. But no matter how you spin it, war porn is war porn -- and we'd better off without it

As far as movies I saw in '07:

*Flags of Our Fathers/Letters From Iwo Jima (Clint Eastwood is GOLD baby)

*The Bourne Ultimatum (Unfortunately, likely the last in this brilliant series. Say what you want about Matt Damon, the dude kicks ass in the Bourne Trilogy)

*DALE (Even though a TV movie, it was a cool perspective in to the man and his life. If you weren't a fan of his before, like me, you will be now)

*The Simpson's Movie (an absolute laugh riot through out.)
"Jesus, that fucker just crawled out of his hen house that was destroyed by the Alabama tornados. Fucking 280mph plus winds sucked the gleam off this bitch and passed it on to a bird in Rhoad Island." - Hurricane Halen 5/3/11 (about my birthday chicken from seenbad)

"Pete is this big, loud muthafucker with a big ass heart, y'all!!!!---------" - Hurricane Halen 9/27/13

"Princess Freckle-Tits hasn't had a good day." LLFHS 7/8/10 (on Lindsay Lohans' legal drama)

I must admit that I am quite intrigued about "There Will Be Blood." I'd like to see it. I like Paul Thomas Anderson's work.
And "No Country for Old Men" was a really good movie....however a lot of movie-goers are not happy at all about the ending, or as some might say, lack thereof.

Just saw it today for the first time. Kinda rocked. I couldnt stop making 'codpiece' jokes out loud, but it was a fun flick. The 'war porn' comment redefines lame.

I though 3:10 to Yuma needed to be on the best of list. Brilliant western!

I loved 300...however it was a bit unrealistic (i mean come the movie is about Greek people and they have no body hair???? Men and Women?? come on)

"No Country For Old Men" was great...pick up the book too its worth a read Cormac McCarthy has an amazing way with language...death is an inevitablility stalking us around every corner...its inescapeable and almost incomprehensible...good stuff

"Eastern Promises" was surprisingly good too

"Superbad" was Awesome-O wow did the dialogue ring true i can totally picture myself back in highschool doing and saying the same shit

"Transformers" Just good to see my youth come alive before my eyes...when is Dolf Lundgren gonna do He-Man Masters of the Universe again

    Worst/Most Over Hyped Movie

"Micheal Clayton" It took 2 hours to get going thanks for nothing George Clooney

"Knocked Up" HORRIBLY UNFUNNY...Every dickhead told me to go see this movie that its soooo funny...i finally did and i actually found myself yearning for the movie to turn into J-Lo's and Jane "pinko commie" Fonda's "Monster In Law" wow what a badly overhyped piece of garbage

300 was cool, although as one said, unrealistic.

The reviewer loved the movie "Into the Wild". I have no interest in watching a movie about some dumb ass that basically gives away all of his money and goes out to 'live as one with nature', probably egged on by some stupid hippie. Well guess what? Nature isn't like it is in the Disney movies and nature kicked his ass. And this makes for a great movie, how? I'll pass unless I get to see it for free.

I see what you're saying and I agree about the "hippy" influence, however, I still want to see it. The previews looked alright. I basically look at it as escapism, which is what just about all movies are for me. I would never even think about doing what this guy did, but I wouldn't mind checking out the consequences of such actions. I'll just wait for the DVD to do so.
