Default Check Out the Pipes on Ed!

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=bt-rDaojisQ&feature=related

Well we have doubted him in the past but Ed definitely has improved his vocal ability like it was in the 80's....this is proof that he is REALLY singing the background parts as I doubted earlier that it was REALLY him singing....

Take a listen at 3:06...you'll hear him start then cut himself short to let the audience sing....you would have never heard Ed's voice sound like that in 2004....remember Up for Breakfast and my per. favorite...."PANANANANANANAMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Whoever is doing that harmony when the band back kicks in (I am assuming Wolf) is way off however.

Which only goes to show just how moronic the whole "piped in vocals" thing was/is. Add that to the foolishness that Wolfie isn't really playing bass. Bunch of fucking nonsense.

You hear Wolfie out of key alot in all the "Dance The Night Away" clips. I thought he would have tightend it up buy now.

What a great quality clip... audio and video. Thx for posting the link. I agree Ed sounds good with his backups, I also dig the noodeling and all he's doing during dtna. Looks like he's having a lot of fun up there playing. Fun to watch

Of course they're singing live, they're also being enhanced, probably with pre-recorded vocals. Dude even people who have loved the shows and given 4-star reviews are saying it's obvious the vocals are getting "help."

Cheer up man, it's sad to see you so bummed out.

Thanks, that is a GREAT video!

Personally, I don't care all that much about the backing vocals. They're okay for me, fine, no complaints except that I miss Mikey's bits.

I just loved this video - Dave's singing seemed better for the most part, and his antics were fun. A little of his '80s sexiness showed - thought I'd never see even a hint of that again. (I mean, he tries, but I just don't see it - but here there was a bit.)

Couldn't take my eyes off of Eddie, love the little shimmy at the start.

But what really made me smile was when he & Wolfie were playing together and Wolfie did a bit of his own shimmying! And when they were tapping together... aw, sweet! It's the first time I've see Wolife rock at all. I mean, playing a competent bass guitar, even playing rock on it, isn't the same as rocking out.

Damn, it's nice to see them all improving (except Alex, who always had it, never lost it)! They don't seem to be running out of steam, do they? This is a great thing!

Ed is doing better on b-vox these days, yes.

Dave, on the other hand, is struggling. And I fucking hate that hat/cock thing.

    Default VH vox

If I'm not mistaken, this ISN'T VH's 1st time down this road
(pre-recorded) vox and or keys etc....
At this point in the game, I don't care anymore...
Thank God they are even able to finally tour w/ Dave.
I'm proud of Dave for doing such a great job ...
He is really working hard on this tour.... dare I say he is
    clean & sober
When DLR is using, the difference in his performance is obvious.
Same goes for EVH..... it was ugly in 2004

So in a rather large nutshell, I think the vox are great
    enhanced or otherwise.....
I had lost all faith in this tour ever happening, so at this point
it's all a bonus in my book....

Wolf is doing awesome and god bless MA! Happy Holidays. CV

"Dance The Night Away" sounds great live! It is a fun song that the band funks out a little bit.
