Default I didn't know which forum but had to post this about "my tour"

I just got back to Australia after my USA trip to see VH in LA and Fresno - awesome awesome shows. No this is not a review but a snippet of VH things I did on my "tour".

I won't bore you with my holiday around CA, and Vegas but here is the VH related stuff I did on tour in LA:
    - Put my hands in Ed’s at the Rock walk at Guitar centre – then went inside and took photos of EVH related stuff. The guy in the shop said “so you’re a VH fan” I said yeah, so he pulled out Ed’s replica Frankenstein guitar which I got to hold and play. I was so excited I bought USA Fender Strat off the guy for $500 (would cost $2000 here).
    - Took photo of sunset sound studios where VH1 and VH2 were recorded.
    - Went to Eddie’s house (5150) – hard to find but found it.
    - Went to Alex’s house
    - Went to Sammy’s Malibu House
    - Went to Ed’s Malibu House
    - Found the apartment where DLR lived in early 80s.
    - Went and drank at Whisky a Go Go – took photos of VH on walls in side the club when then played there in early days
    - Went to Gazarris (now the Key Club) where VH was house band in the 70s
    - Found the house in Pasadena where Ed and Alex grew up. Took photos there and sat and reflected for a bit.
    - Found VAN HALEN carved into the concrete around the corner from the house outside a liquor stop (carved into the concrete by Ed when he band first started out)
    - Got the classic VH symbol tattooed on my back for $100 in Hollywood.

I know, all your LA people would have seen these things before or drive past them everyday on your way to work but it was a kick for me. Thanks to all the nice people I met at the LA and Fresno shows - very friendly fans. Your country is fun! Your people are nice. I'll return to the USA for a holiday anyday.

Thanks to Dutchie for hooking me up with all the info before I left!!

Cool man sounds like you had fun. Nice!

Funny enough half the places you went I would have no idea where they are, for example, I have no idea what apartment DLR lived in, nor do I even know where Alex lives. So you know more than me, and I've lived all 36 years of my life here.

Good job. I am gald you had a good time. I wish I had the guts for the tattoo. However, if Kimmie5150 sees that you visited EVH's house, she will probably take a contract out on your life. But no worries.
I don't have a cool signature. Deal with it!

Man and I thought driving from Connecticut to Cabo was a lot. Great story. Glad you had fun.

Awesome... I'm glad you had a great time. Hopefully, one day I'll be able to do the same thing.

I'm glad I could help out.

All right sounds like a hoot

Way to go and it sounds like you had a blast. Did you notice the KISS Logo next to the boys names at the liquer store. It must have been a huge thing for Gene to show interest in them at the time.

It's nice to see that no one is claiming you are a stalker. You are just a smart fan that wanted to see where the majic started. Did you happen to see the Roth mansion? That place is a trip.

I am glad you enjoyed our country, now you need to visit Holland and see those sites. I would love to see photos if you don't mind.
