    Default String Gauge ??

Does anyone use the Zakk Wylde Boomers, with the heavy low strings(.060-.010). Is there anything very different I'll need to do
in setting these up. With & without a floyd

You will probably have to tighten the screws that hold the claw for the springs up a little bit to even out the tension on a floating floyd, and if its a non floating, tighten them so the floyd sits on the body.

If you are putting them on a non tremolo equipped guitar you don't have to do anything.

i use the gibson powerlines .56 s for my one guitar thats tuned to drop B /one and a half steps down.

those and the zakk wylde strings are made for low pitch/drop tunings.

i wouldnt tune any higher than a whole step down with .60 s

in standard tuning .60s are really going to stress your guitars neck imo.

    (unless youre SRV)

Any time you change string gauges your guitar needs to be set up and intonated to accomodate the change in tension. With those Wylde Boomers, however, I'd recommend keeping them off any guitar that is to be standard tuned. That's a major change in tension, and the very thin to very thick thing could cause the neck to twist. They also might not function well with a Floyd.

I was planning on using a set for drop b tuning. Think I'll keep them on a non trem bridge.

They'll be okay for that, but the thinner high strings might be a little... well, thin.

Apart from the intonation, string height , i think you might need to tighten the truss rod, due to the extra tension of the string gauge .
