HARRINGTON (NEWS CENTER) -- For 15 years, Worcester Wreath Company in Harrington has donated thousands of wreaths to be placed on veterans graves at Arlington, and other Military cemeteries around the country.

Branch after branch, plus decor and bows; workers are busy assembling wreaths at Worcester Wreath Company in Harrington. They're filling some of the six hundred-thousand orders they'll see this year.

In 1992 - owner Morrill Worcester started 'Wreaths Across America.' He donates ten-thousand to be placed on veterans graves in Arlington National Cemetery. Twenty-five hundred of them will stay here in Maine this year, placed at veterans graves in Togus. Another two thousand will go to cemeteries elsewhere... all honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

"I've been very lucky the have the business we've had and growing over the years and I really know that you can't do that anywhere else but here in America. And why we can do it in America is because what the veterans have done for us and fought for our freedom and preserved our freedom," said Worcester.

The process is lengthy but efficient. The balsams are rolled down conveyor belts, where they're carefully assembled. After that, they're bagged, boxed up, and sent down shoots into trucks for shipping.

The wreaths that are placed on Veterans graves' are made at the plant in Lewiston, but all the materials for those wreaths originate in Harrington.

"It showcases the Veteran and all the Veterans and what they're all done for all of us, and it's terrific," said Worcester.

Morrill says donating the wreaths is a small price for his business to pay when compared to what the wreath's honor every year.
