BTW, a "+" symbol in a chord almost always indicates a sharpened 5th.
The way I write the chord she was arpeggiating is "A(add9)".
There was no need to write the "maj" in the chord name that was flashed on the screen. Usually "maj" indicates that a major 7th is present in the chord.
    "Amaj9" is spelled 1,3,5,7,9.
    "Amaj9+" is spelled 1,3,#5,7,9
But there really isn't such a chord name as "Amaj+9"

"Notes"? What are these "notes" you're talking about? Don't confuse me with all that technical mumbo-jumbo.
