Default Is this the first tour that Eddie has used pre-recorded guitar parts?

Just curious. They are used for cradle. Is this a first?

I haven't seen any vids of it, so I may be wrong, but I believe you're hearing a keyboard played through an amp. Those appear to be pre-recorded, but there is debate on that. I don't think there are any pre-recorded guitar parts.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

I believe it was the '95 tour where he used a rhythm guitar part during the "316" part of his solo and he played a lead guitar part over that live.

The Cradle part is on piano, just as it was on the original album.

    Exactly.

Funny how some people after all these years still think that the intro to Cradle is a guitar.

That's because I would be many here are not musicians.

As for pre-recorded anything...it's just not the case. I do not believe anything is pre-recorded. They have a keyboard player backstage.

I dont think they do this time, I saw a youtube vid of them playing jump out of key because of some playback problem (painful to watch) seems that a keyboard player would have rectified the prob.

Would he wear a cup and play in two bands at the same time?

For the 64 millionth time, Ed's guitar was out of tune. Period. The end.

Wait, so you're saying the GUITAR was out of tune? I think Ed is out of tune with reality.

Ah, Grasshopper...Ed's reality is in tune, 'tis we that are out of harmony.

I remember that! but it was pre-recorded video of EVH playing 316. not exactly a backing rythm track.

there are a lot of mysteries on this current tour aren't there

    Default Cradle Guitar

I believe the intro to Cradle that sounds like a pick scratching the low E string is recorded for the show -- the reason being it is slowed down (half speed) on the record and impossible to replicate live.

Is the VHND associated with this site somehow?
