Default Once guitar solo - not eddie?

I've always thought it wasn't Eddie during the main solo. The lead guitar throughout the song is him, but i'm talking about the main solo. Anyone else think this?

    so who is it?
Is it his guitar tech/friend Matthew Bruck?

I think it's Michael Jackson playing the main lead solo. He owes Eddie one from back in the day.

Um, parts of it clearly are. There are higher notes like on a normal guitar and there are way lower notes. I thought I read Ed used a 6 string bass, or maybe he had some lower bass strings on the guitar, but there are bass-string notes in that solo.

Why would you think Ed would let someone solo over his work? It was Ed, and it's a six string Bass!

You can play the solo on a guitar easily...you just need to tune the low E string down low...I can't remember what the tuning was tho...

It's Eddie. Sounds like that hybrid guitar/bass he used on Spanked. This solo is probably his worst IMO. He wanted to scrub the solo and redo it but the producer convinced him to keep it because it was a side of Eddie never captured on 'tape' before. Funny how what can seem as ingenious can turn out to be crap in the end ... and vice versa.

Maybe it's that crummy "sitar" thing he used on "Primary" or whatever that "Nobody's Fault But Mine" rip-off part of "Ballet Or The Bullet" is called.

I TOTALLY disagree....this solo has TONS of feeling to it....it really carries a heavy emotion to it in my opinion....

I think it was an electric ukulele with Hot Rails picks installed and played through a Phase 90 and a Micro Metal Muff distortion pedal.

Was it a custom shop or a standard issue because I've been looking on ebay and I really need to get me one of these...
