Default Professor Randy Pausch's Final Lecture on the Web

Professor Randy Pausch's Final Lecture on the Web

Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch, who is dying from pancreatic cancer, gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving talk, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals.

Pausch, a professor of computer science, human computer interaction and design, is a co-founder of Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center and the creator of the Alice interactive computing program, which is being used by students worldwide.

Very touching. I just watched him on Opra. (Go ahead, let me hear it.)
What a uplifting human being. Very inspiring. So courageous, so strong. I pray he beats this thing.
At the end of his lecture when he mentioned he wrote the lecture for only three people, his kids and became choked up, I almost lost it. I just wish I had the power to reach through my T.V & heal the man.
A lot of what he said hit me. Thanks for posting this Voivod, I want to watch it again. Especially at those times when my 80% grey is dark instead of light.

I watched it as well on Oprah, but with my two kids right there on the couch with me...

She has some good stuff on sometimes. I tend to watch when she has Dr. Oz on.

One of the things that struck me about his lecture was about the football coach riding him. One of the other coaches made the remark to him that as long as the coach was still riding him, he hadn't given up on him. Very cool stuff, and put in laymens terms so a doofus like me can understand it.
