Went to the show last night at the Beau Rivage casino. This was my first Sammy solo show and my wife and I had a blast. The Mad Anthony Express opened, followed by the Other Half and then Sam and the Wabos. The venue was very small (capacity was 1500) so it made for a very intimate setting. The sound was excellent and everyone was tight. Here is what I remember of the set lists:

    MA Express:
    Light Up The Sky
    Runnin' With The Devil
    I'm The One
    Hear About It Later
(I think they may have played one more song but I can't remember)

    The Other Half:
    Good Enough
    WCTBL
    FYS
    BOBW

After that it was Sam and the Wabos:
(This is not in order and I think I am missing a song or two)
Heavy Metal - with a really cool solo by Sam
    55
    Sam I Am
    Mas Tequila
    I'll Fall In Love Again
    One Way
    Three Lock Box

    Encore:
Everyone came out and did a really cool arrangement of Dreams

    Thoughts:
    - I can't believe that Sam is 60. He jumped around the stage like a maniac
    - Mike sounded really good. I don't know why they had to get Gary for VH3. Ed should have had Mike handle the vocals.
    - Dreams, Mas Tequila, Heavy Metal and Hear About It Later were the highlights of the show for me.
    - During one of the songs (can't remember which one) Sam made his way through all of the ILAA folks seated behind the stage.
    - While I had a great time, I was disappointed with the length of the show. They only played for about 90 minutes and as you can see, the set list was very short (I know I'm missing a song or two but it wasn't much longer than what I put here). I was also hoping for Bad Motor Scooter and more Sam era VH but I'll take what I can get. It will be interesting to see if the set list/length expands further on down the road.

egads, way too short for that kind of a set up. I'm seeing them in Indy in a week, I hope they play a little more than that. Damn.

Light Up The Sky & Good Enough...wow...Light Up is one of the tunes i wished VH were performing on their tour...will be nice to hear Mikey belt that one out. I'm a bit surprised too about the show length...Sammy's usually good for a solid 2 hrs. Glad you had a good time.
...and in the end, on dreams we will depend...

I was there last night, and I was disappointed in the length of the show as well. I think there may have been some problems with some of the equipment or something, and that could've been a reason for the short show. At one point, Dugan came out and did something with one of the amps, like it wasn't working or something.
To see Mike do stuff like "Light Up The Sky" and "I'm The One" was great! My favorite moment during the MA Express was when Mike plays bass with his teeth during the opening of RWTD. I was disappointed that he never pulled out the JD bass.
The acoustic version of "Dreams" was awesome! I got goosebumps.
Vic's a good player, but Eddie's presence was sorely missed. Still had a good time, but not worth the price of tix...

The show was good with lots of energy and sounded great. I must say after seeing VH last month this was kind of a let down but still had a great time.

Met Vic leaving the casino today!! Very nice guy!!

    Default setlist

Thanks for posting the setlist spel chek. I've been scowering the internet for one so I'll be ready for tonights show in Dallas! I too am dissapointed in the length of the show. I thought Mike would play about 4-5 VH tunes and then 2-3 classic rock tunes. I also thought Sammy would play at least an hour of solo stuff. Oh well I'm sure I'll have a great time anyway.

Not a great setlist. With Sam not announcing any more shows as promissed I'm curious if he is just fulfilling his commitments for this fall and going to do something different in the spring and summer. Just a thought but no LTG set which I was looking forward to hearing some more pre-VH solo stuff.

Sam has so much great music he can't play (if he got rid of the waitress crap he could add two or three songs) but damn that is a short show.

Wow...that IS a short set-list. I saw them the following night in Houston. The show began at 8:00 and we were not leaving the venue until 11:00 or after. I noticed that the set-list for his Bday Bash was not very long either. Anyway, maybe he has added some stuff to make it longer. The Houston show was one of the best (if not the best) Sammy shows I've ever seen.

I'm not gonna break it into the different bands but I believe they played all those mentioned in this thread, plus:

    SGMAD
    Open
    Girl Gets Around
    Piece of my Heart
    Marching to Mars
    Bottoms Up
    ATBL
    Little Dreamer

I'm thinking there were a few other Sammy tunes but can't remember which ones I'm leaving out. I'm ready to do it all over again!

Good list, but big time disappointing as far as number of songs. Let's hope he does something a bit different by the time he hits STL.
