Default Any Sammy fans from the `70s

You`ll have to excuse me cause I usually don`t cruise over here much. Is there anyone that got into Sammy in the mid to late `70s. I was just in 7th-8th grade when I got his All Night Long Live album and the Street Machine album. I got the Montrose album after that. That was my favorite era of Sammys (though he did kick ass live in `82 and `85). Correct me if I`m wrong but it seems like that era in Sammys musical history is way unoticed.

That's about the same time i came on board. Big fan of the TA in Smokey and the Bandit. I was over at a friends house and his dad had Street Machine on the turntable. My love for that car and the fact that Sammy wrote a song about it sealed the deal to me becoming a fan. A Red Head before there was Red Heads.

I think everything (solo) before Standing Hampton probably goes a little unnoticed. The only songs that i hear on classic radio from before 1980 are Bad Motor Scooter and Rock Candy. And those are old Montrose tunes.
From Standing Hampton on is what seems to get the airplay.

If Sammy was to drop one of his older staples and replace it with another, i would say drop Red and replace it with Young Girl Blues. That song may be a bit of a buzz kill to some(younger fans) But that is the one song that i would come unhinged to hear live.
