    NEW OPENING BAND!!!

Van Halen has signed a new band to open for them on their 2007 tour, replacing Kymani Marley:

We train dogs for cattle and sheep herding. They're very different. Sheep are a lot like supermodels - they bunch together, they rattle very easily. Cattle are like drunks at a hockey game - two will want to fight: "Who are you and what's with your badge?"

Two of them will be like: "Leave them alone, let's go see the game." Another one is lost: "Where'd you guys go?" The dog has to deal with all of that. You work them off a whistle. It's the original video game.

Van Halen reminded us last night of why we loved them in the first place. They helped us to get past all the bullshit around us and remind us to have a little fucking fun in the midst of it all. - Reckless Fable

I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

Well, we'll have some fun before they do.

Then, two weeks from now, some newb will post it and we'll go through this all over again.

Ya know what? This "Up With People" version of the tune had a hell of a lot more effort and finesse put into it than Velvet Revolver's piss-take of "Runaround".

As a seasoned a capella singer myself, I can tell you doing "modern" tunes like this one are not always easy to pull off, especially for the rhythm and backing sections, and ESPECIALLY when there's no director out in front keeping you in time. We recently did Ob-La-Di by the Beatles in the same fashion these guys did TOTW (with soloists singing the lyrics, and the entire chorus making the instrumental noises/rhythm), and we used two directors to keep us in time, and we still had problems in practice.

Then there is the issue of tonality. It's so easy, in a choral setting, to drop in pitch. In a song like this, if the chorus drops in pitch, you have a key clash between the soloist and the chorus. These guys did an outstanding job with both time and pitch.
If it's BROWN, flush it DOWN.

    GO STEELERS!

Dude...no offense, we know it was rehearsed and kudos to all who pulled it off but the Morman Tabernacle Chior could have done this and it would still be L.A.M.E.
