    Default Saint Louis Show Rescheduled

Just got this in an email from Live Nation:

It was announced today that Van Halen has postponed its October 28th show at Scottrade Center in Saint Louis due to a scheduling conflict.

An announcement regarding the rescheduled date is expected in the near future.

All tickets for the postponed date will be honored at the rescheduled performance. Refunds are also available at point of purchase.
WTF??? Just when I thought the tour was going to make it without a shipwreck. Damn.

A shipwreck? No big deal. Happens all the time. Nothing to worry about.
Wolfie is not Mike, but he's more than ok.
Mike is gone, but not forgotten. They played some amazing shows from 2007-2015; some people are in denial about it.

I thought I was going to get to see these guys on their 16th show of the tour when they were still fresh. This tour was so fragile that I thought this was going to be a miracle to even see them. Then I saw the boots and was very encouraged. Now the Saint Louis show will probably get moved to the back of the tour. This is not good. As much as I would like to see Van Halen on this tour, I think I may take them up on the refund unless they reschedule this soon. There were no shows scheduled for the night before and the night after this show, so I cannot imagine why they are claiming a schedule conflict.

Huh? I've been to probably 50 concerts over the past five years, and not one of them has ever been rescheduled. Usually the only time a concert gets rescheduled is when somethingreally bad happens. The promoters lose their asses when something like this happens. A lot of ticket buyers will demand refunds and say "fuck it" after the shaky start this tour got off on.

This is the beginning of the end. Re-scheduling does NOT happen all the time. How can there be a scheduling conflict after they booked the tour? Sounds shady. Given the history of these guys I don't like this announcement at all.
    Ed drinking?
    Dave being a dbag?
    Wolfie has midterms?
    Alex having neck surgery?
Meanwhile, Sammy and Mike still pleasing the fans...

Sounds like someone wanted the weekend off. They play KC on Friday night then not again now until the following Tuesday in Boston.

I think our only hope of getting a show in STL before next year is if they fit us in between NY and LA. They have a week off 11/13 - 11/20. Which would be funny because thats the week Sammy is at the Fox. Hmm....conspiracy theory?

They could probably use a few extra days to recharge, maybe they will stop in STL on their way out west.

Uh-huh. Yes Chicken Little, the sky is indeed falling.

Folks, one canceled show for a group of guys that are not exactly teenagers, save one, is not exactly a reason to jump off of a building in despair. Things happen. Keith Richard busts his noggin falling out of a coconut tree, a tour gets delayed.

This is a high powered, physical set being delivered by men a few years past retirement age in most professional sporting leagues. Cut 'em some slack, and lighten up on the conspiracy theories.
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

U2 and the Stones have canceled on me at short notice in the past - both due to health issues with either band or family members.

I saw the boot from the Toronto show on 10-14-07, and it doesn't look to me like Eddie is having any drinking problems at all like he was in 2004. I sure hope this is not the beginning of the end of the tour, but it may be the end for me. I am not going to wait until this tour is over to see them when these guys are worn out and angry at each other.

I just called TicketMaster and they have not been informed of the rescheduling issue yet, but they said they will issue refunds if the show is cancelled or postponed. The email I got regarding the postponement was from Live Nation.

Ok...I am better now. I needed to vent cause I am dissapointed about the delay. A healthy, tight sounding Mighty VH is SO what is needed in this world of crap music to show people how it is really done. I got a little negative and cynical. My bad.
